Subject: got to be real
In the venue, there was a bit of an issue with the volume of Land's bass rig towards the end of FOTD (the rig is huuuge) but that got squared away quickly (thanks Shaun!). And this recording sounds real sweet (thanks Jon!).
Highlights for me:
Mitch Stein's keyboard tonalities on Blow Away, West LA and Shakedown -- I want to marry them
Shakedown Street - cuz of the long, fun, and groovy jam that reminds me a bit of Traffic's "Empty Pages", and which gets smoothly reeled in starting around 13:30
Not Fade Away - nice slow burn with Stu and Mitch exploring an especially awesome sector of the universe from around 7:30 onwards
Sing Me Back Home -- RIP Merle (April 6, 1937 – April 6, 2016)
